Upwork, a global freelancing platform, was looking out for a cloud-managed service provider (MSP) to aid them in managing financial data. Based in Santa Clara and San Francisco, Upwork provides a common ground for businesses and individuals to connect with freelancers to conduct their business. Notably, Upwork hosts a vast network of 12M registered freelancers and 5M registered businesses. With an annual 3M+ job postings, worth US$1 billion, Upwork is the largest freelancing platform globally.

Problem Statement

Upwork deals with a large number of clients and freelancers, and handling this past and present data was a critical challenge for them. The main objective was to optimize the various aspects of the company such as operations, strategy, performance, scalability and finance. Vast Edge helped Upwork to migrate their financial data from NetSuite to OCI to meet the business demands.
